Gym leaders on Victory Road, Titan Pokémon on the Path of Legends, and Team Star leaders on Starfall Street are all on the same difficulty scale. If you don’t mind your Pokémon being Underleveled, you can do them out of order.
Some of these also act as roadblocks to regions further on. For instance, the northern part of Paldea is off-limits until you defeat Team Star’s Dark or Fire Crews, who have established roadblocks.

While searching for a way to finish a favor called “Spirit of Rebellion,” you will stumble upon The Lost Treasure on Dragon Beach in Svartalfheim. The Lost Treasure is activated when you speak to the ghost that needs your help after using the Draupnir Spear to get to a higher level.
Since you’ll need to go to Alberich Hollow to finish this Favour, you can keep on with the Spirit of Rebellion instructions if you prefer. Proceed into the cave to the left of the massive dwarven statue. Take care of the Bergsras and Grims that have come down here to wait for you. Then, to clean up the mess, grab the explosive rock from off to the left of the trail. Into the depths of the cave, you must go.
Down here, several Nokken is giving some Grims a boost with their energy. Toward the center of the route, buried in the midst of some rubble, is one of the Nokkens. In such case, do as you did before and pick up an explosive rock to hurl at the rubble in order to destroy it.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll be ready to face the Grims. Just off to the left, if you’re interested, is one of Odin’s Ravens. The path ahead needs to be cleared of debris, so grab another explosive rock and do it.

Despite his unassuming appearance, Ormstunga is a tricky opponent who is constantly on the move. His main method of attack consists of a slashing jump that can be readily avoided. However, if he executes a somersault, you’ll have to duck and roll to safety. You should also avoid walking over the poison he spits on the ground.
Keeping up with him will be the most challenging aspect of this fight due to his speed, so focus intently. If you get stuck in animations, he will dodge out of the path and counterattack, therefore it’s better to strike him hard in short flurries. After you have vanquished him, you will receive a new Enchantment known as the “Emblem of Elusion.” Svefnthorn is included as well.
One of The Lost Lindwyrms, needed for a different Favour, can be found in a Yggdrasil Rift, which can be accessed by climbing up the ledge to the left after the battle. Repeated use nets you a Gale Spark, some Dust of Realms, and Lindwyrm Scales.
Pick up another explosive rock and toss it at the wreckage, right over the ledge opposite where the Yggdrasil Rift. The next step is to move the rock blocking the trail’s terminus. You can find Hacksilver and a Folkvangr Whetstone in the Legendary Chest at the end of the journey. Get down to the shore by descending the metal chain. Towards the left side, near the base, is a Chiselable door concealing a red chest behind it. Hacksilver and Slag Deposits need access.
Launch the boat, and head north to Alberich Island. When you get to the shore, you can get off the boat. Take care to eliminate the dangers that lurk in this area. Once again, it’s time for a Berserker Soul to be sacrificed as part of the Fit for a King Favor. Beigadr the Feared is the villain of the piece now; he is an electrically charged warrior who is a pain in the rear. By teleporting into clouds of green smoke, he can cover a large portion of the arena. The fight requires you to be focused, so press the R3 button.
Time it right, and you can parry an assault in which his fist makes two quick swipes at you. If you hit him when he’s down, he won’t be able to teleport out of the path. Then, after he’s gotten some distance between you, he’ll either shoot electric orbs at you (which can be parried twice) or blast shockwaves through the ground (which you’ll need to roll to avoid). Be wary of the times when he floats in the air and fires off four orbs all at once.

A Treasure Map labeled “Washed Ashore” can be found on the floor to the left of the hook’s target after a short hop across.

Good Smile has also released a number of sculptures and Nendoroids based on Intelligent Systems’ mobile game Fire Emblem, with this latest statue depicting a pivotal figure from that game.
After initially being the game’s antagonist, Veronica, princess of the Emblian Empire, eventually becomes an ally of Askr, the kingdom the player defends. As of this writing, she is transitioning into a hesitant anti-hero position in Fire Emblem Heroes, replete with a new look and unit that were originally seen in the Book 6 midpoint trailer. Even if the old moon was working just fine, Earth bought a brand new one this year since this one has Bluetooth. Now, let’s take our minds off of things by learning about 12 exciting new games.
As is customary during Indiegeddon, I am unable to attest to the quality of these games. For the most part, I’m motivated to write about them because they strike me as intriguing, thrilling, terrifying, or just plain bizarre. Even though most of these games are still under development, you can do a lot of good by adding them to your Steam wishlist.

Despite having been in the works for four years by a single human, this work appears to have been produced by a hundred people at Paradox. See how those spacecraft blow up! It’s all about dominating a randomly formed star system through the application of intelligence and reason. Still, there’s the option to create your own ships, conduct raids, and engage in other awesome space-strategic activities that leave me wishing I had a bigger brain.

You, Bill the squirrel, are very skilled at woodworking, and you discover an alien infant in your garden. Throughout all of human history, this story has been told. As a result, Bill, you’re playing a simulation game in which you have to provide for the alien infant by making and harvesting various items. And the whole point is to investigate the ideas behind recycling. That has the oddest elevator pitch ever, yet it actually seems like it may be cute.
That’s It, We’re Doomed
Consider this: A split-screen, local co-op game for one to four players where you try to keep your spaceship afloat in perilous conditions while viewing it from the inside and the outside at the same time. Yikes. It’s up to the players to defend the ship from attackers while taking on a variety of duties, from captain to janitor. It’s a perfect storm of disorganization and switching gears, or, as I like to put it, teamwork went wrong.
Quartet appears to be a turn-based RPG that pays homage to the old form with impressive fidelity. However, you can only use four at a time in combat, switching them out as necessary using the tag system. It’s also a set of four stories, and you can play them in any sequence you like (since this is Octotraveller, of course).
There’s a lot riding on the success of this project, and for a small independent team of only five people, it seems like they’re up to the challenge.

This guy’s no big shot, but his noggin’ is tiny. So, here’s Dreambound, a visual novel that just had a successful Kickstarter (raising over $30,000), giving us all the chance to watch handsome young men gaze longingly at one another. It’s a case of boy love.
This intriguingly drawn and written narrative also features strange murders, nightmares that infiltrate reality, and demons from the main character Noah’s past.
The Tides’ Sky
Wow, check out this amazingness! It appears to occupy the space between RPGs and point-and-click adventures that are sorely underutilized. In Sky of Tides, we follow Rin as she searches for her missing father and, in the process, attempts to rescue the planet Numen from the verge of war. (NUMEN!) The isometric world you discover will be shaped by the choices you make, and I can’t wait to put that promise to the test.
Unconquered Earth
Outside our solar system… A deep space simulation, Terra Invicta quickly brought to mind Stellaris despite its Earth-centric orientation. A group of modders most well-known for their work on XCOM: Long War has created this.

After the success of that mod, the developers decided to go commercial, and their first product is Terra Invicta, a space exploration simulation in which you must stop (or help) an alien invasion of Earth. The game has been available in early access for a few months, and because of its depth and breadth, it has been receiving rave reviews on Steam.
In this Arkanoid-inspired game, the blocks you destroy fire at you. Why hasn’t someone thought of this before? (I believe you will discover that there was an example of this on the Amiga Rupture 3400 in Germany, in the parallel dimension of Raaaaaaa – That Guy.)
This seems like a no-brainer, but I’ve never seen The Blocks Shoot At You: An outbreak of bullet hell. This could become my next big thing, at which I will be hopelessly bad.
Exhibit Your Teeth! Phobolis
When I can’t tell if a trailer is for a modern FPS or a classic one, I become the most excited. We’re witnessing a complete scene right now. Phobolis is right at home; the trailer for the game starts off looking like a damaged VHS tape that will make your grandchildren cry, before transitioning to a dirty, old-school shooter.

Rocket Ship
A game about a space cat detective who solves a crime on a spaceship full of sentient carpets has my full attention. You play the role of Domino, the cat detective, and look for a jewel thief throughout the ship from a third-person perspective.
No Subdivision
There are rules that require me to include a card game in every one of these. The cyberpunk approach of Zero Division promises a mashup of Magic: The Gathering and Slay the Spire. You get to choose three out of nine unique characters, each of whom has its own set of 40 playing cards.
Additionally, there will be no deck thinning due to the fixed deck sizes. Woo! The epic 3D monsters and robots waving their arms and weapons at each other across the table are what really draws me in. We’re scheduled to release a demo in the spring of ’23, and you can bet that I’ll be among its featured players.

Always finish on an existential non-linear psychedelic platformer, that’s what my grandmother taught me. Not one to refuse sage advice here’s Extreme Evolution: Drive to Divinity by Sam Atlas, creator of the 2022 IGF Nuovo nomination, Space Hole 2020.
Extreme Evolution looks just so spectacularly fucked up, like if David Lynch had made The Lawnmower Man, and I think I’m going to be dreaming about this brief trailer for the rest of my life. Oh god, that spider virus thing.
