Seeing another studio attempting to compete with MLB The Show with a different approach is encouraging. Metalhead is not attempting to develop a baseball simulator but rather to provide an arcade-style experience that uniquely celebrates baseball. It remains to be seen if EA’s maiden attempt at the series is a success, but so far, it looks fantastic.

A trailer for Atomic Heart’s first DLC is now available. One of 2023’s surprise successes, Atomic Heart, had a lot of anticipation before it was released but was somewhat eclipsed by titles like Hogwarts Legacy.

Fans appeared to love the gameplay and beauty of the game, but they were notably critical of elements like the conversation, which they felt was a bit intrusive. The game appeared to have been a success.

WizKids are creating a new Star Trek board game that will be launched next year. A brand-new strategic board game set in the Mirror Universe, Star Trek: Discovery – Black Alert, was unveiled by WizKids last week.

To execute missions, the two crews managing the USS Discovery and the ISS Charon must direct crew members to different areas of their respective ships. The USS Discovery is attempting to return to their universe, while the ISS Charon is trying to seize the USS Discovery.

Each spacecraft has a different end goal in mind. ICV2 initially reported the news. Although WizKids has released many Star Trek strategy games, this is the first to concentrate on Star Trek: Discovery, which assisted in the reinvention of the Star Trek franchise in 2017.

Star Trek: Frontiers, a remake of Mage Knights, and the spaceship combat game Star Trek Alliances are among the games released by WizKids. The fifth season of Star Trek: Discovery, which premiered earlier this year, will be the show’s final.

The possibility of a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake is in the headlines again. This time, a post from the Hogwarts Legacy composer sparked the speculations. Undoubtedly Hideo Kojima’s greatest accomplishment is the Metal Gear Solid series, one of the greatest gaming franchises ever created. Respawn Entertainment has addressed the potential for Titanfall 3. One of the most cutting-edge shooters of the past ten years, Titanfall also gave rise to one of the most lucrative franchises in modern gaming.

A few months after the Xbox One was released, the first game was released as an Xbox exclusive in 2014. It received praise for its fantastic gameplay but received criticism for its overall lack of content and campaign.

A few years later, the sequel was released, and critics praised it for continuing to develop and enhance its unique gameplay while addressing the first game’s complaints. This made room for an exceptionally memorable campaign and a ton of content.

But because it was released during a busy period, not many people bought it. Despite being a vast industry force and continuing to grow the Titanfall world, Apex Legends hasn’t yet given birth to a new Titanfall game.

There were speculations that a new Titanfall game was shelved early this year, but Axios had the chance to speak with Vince Zampella, the head of Respawn Entertainment, and inquire about Titanfall’s future.

Zampella was pretty open in saying that while he’d love to see a new Titanfall game, nothing is currently in development. However, the director of the Titanfall series, Steve Fukuda, is now leading a small team at Respawn on a brand-new IP.

The goal, according to Zampella, is to “find something fun in something new.” Although it sounds like it’s still very early, I hope this new shooter provides the same sense of innovation as Titanfall did.

At this moment, Titanfall 3 appears to be nothing more than a fantasy. Since the last game was released almost seven years ago and Respawn has found tremendous success with Star Wars and Apex, Titanfall 3 might never be made. Hopefully, that will change in the future, but it doesn’t appear likely for the time being.

Another leak from this week offers a potential release date for Assassin’s Creed Mirage in the lack of any official information from Ubisoft. The upcoming Assassin’s Creed game will launch in August, according to a photograph released by someone posing as a GameStop clerk.

Neither an official announcement nor a leak has provided a specific release date, but if that window holds, Assassin’s Creed players may not have to wait until the holidays to enjoy the game. Instead, they may be able to play it within the next few months.

Naturally, some people are dubious about the game’s anticipated release date. One reason is that it might be considered a placeholder date; they frequently change and are of little use when determining a game’s release date beyond the year it will be released.

Firaxis Games and 2K announced that the Nintendo Switch version of Marvel’s Midnight Suns is no longer in the works. The Switch version of the game was postponed to an unspecified later date along with the PS4 and Xbox One versions, which was previously planned to be one of the multiple platforms the game would release on at some time.

The DLC for the game is coming to an end, so the PlayStation and Xbox versions are still in development and might be published as soon as next week, but the Switch version is no longer planned. A short mention of the now-canceled Switch version appeared in the reveal of the game’s most recent Storm DLC video.

Switch owners still waiting for the competition received terrible news while promoting the DLC that would be made fully available concurrently with the release of the new Blood Storm DLC and the PS4 and Xbox One editions.

A trailer for the Storm content from the game’s creator, Firaxis, has been released, providing spectators an overview of the character’s appearance and gameplay and a peek at the Abbey’s recent revamp. This week, gamers of Hogwarts Legacy will receive a brand-new surprise, just in time for the game’s May 5 release on the PS4 and Xbox One. It was a big deal on Twitch when the new Harry Potter game was first published in February for the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, partly because Twitch Drops dropped exclusive in-game cosmetics.

The Twitch Drops are back this week with the launch of the PS4 and Xbox One versions. Whether Twitch Drops will be available across all Twitch streams or just the Legacy Live streams from the game’s developers on May 5 at 9 am PT.

Merlin’s Cloak will be available if you watch the Legacy Live and other Twitch streams. For those who don’t know, this is the only method for gaining access to the robe. Since the game has no option to unlock this suit, you were out of luck if you missed the Twitch Drops the first time.

There is a reasonable risk that you will be out of luck if you miss this second opportunity. However, Twitch Drops may return when the Nintendo Switch version launches on July 25.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2’s release date may have been alluded to in one of the most recent Xbox Game Pass trailers. Since its 2019 announcement, Ninja Theory’s sequel to the acclaimed 2017 action-adventure game has been eagerly awaited.

Although it has been a while, Ninja Theory has yet to decide on a release date for Hellblade 2. Hellblade fans hope this Xbox Game Pass clip contains the information they’ve been waiting for, even though nothing is certain.

Even though Hellblade 2 hasn’t received any announcements, interest in the sequel is relatively high. The Game Awards 2021 featured a lengthy combat between Senua, her tribe of Picts, and a giant in an extended gameplay reveal.

Mortal Kombat 12 is slated to be the series’ 12th mainline entry, as the title suggests, and its 28th overall release when you count every single release—whether it’s a brand-new game or simply a re-release of an earlier installment—in the series.

As you may know, Mortal Kombat, the first game in the franchise, was launched by Midway on arcades in 1992, marking the series’ earliest known beginnings.

Ed Boon, one of the show’s two creators, continues to work on it as the creative director. Notably, he served as the film’s creative director. John Tobias is no longer associated in any way with the franchise in the meanwhile.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s fifth update has not yet been given a specific release date, although the game’s roadmap indicates that it will happen in “early summer.” The roadmap hinted at a few things that fans might anticipate, like the inclusion of Cinderella and the eventual disclosure of the Forgetting’s mystery.

Gameloft, the creator, recently disclosed another somewhat minor update to the game. Players can purchase umbrellas within the game, which will be ideal for navigating Dreamlight Valley’s stormy weather!

Gameloft has released significant upgrades for Disney Dreamlight Valley every two months. Update 2 was released in December, Update 3 in February, and Update 4 in April. If things keep going at that rate, Update 5 should arrive sometime in early June, which would fall under the “early summer” umbrella.

However, until Gameloft makes an announcement, fans must wait patiently. The game’s roadmap technically ends with Update 5, so seeing where things go from here will be interesting.

Fans can anticipate the game’s complete release at some point this year. Disney Dreamlight Valley is still in early access and is only accessible with an Xbox Game Pass subscription or by purchasing a founder’s pack.
