    Redfall May Be Postponed Once More by Microsoft: The first game from Arkane Studios since its acquisition by Microsoft won’t stop. Microsoft is reportedly planning to delay the game further, by at least a quarter, after it was already delayed until next year (along with Starfield).

    According to Okami, who works in the industry, Redfall’s release date was delayed “by about six weeks” because of the Bethesda Softworks subsidiary. Okami claims that Redfall’s release date has been pushed back to May from March.

    The source has not explained why the Redfall release is being brought forward by more than a month. They could have quickly just said, “it’s for the best,” though.

    For one thing, we live in a time when delays are the norm. The COVID-19 pandemic and Cyberpunk 2077 are both to blame for this. When fans know that extra time will be used to make the final product better, they are more understanding of setbacks in the release schedule.

    However, Best Graphics is more of a technical prize, and I’d argue that it’s distinctive enough to deserve its trophy. If we’re going to have stuff like “Games for Change” and handing out five esports awards in 45 seconds, Best Graphics seems like it ought to be a category, too.
