    The Death Stranding Sequel Has Been Officially Announced

    Death Stranding Sequel: The legendary game designer Hideo Kojima announced at The Game Awards 2022 that his next major project will be the sequel to Death Stranding in 2019. The game’s announcement was made by both Kojima Productions and PlayStation.

    Fragile, portrayed by Lea Seydoux, and Sam, played by Norman Reedus, is still struggling to make it through the BT-infested environment in the game’s promotional teaser.

    The teaser depicted Fragile and her infant being chased by unknown attackers. Death Stranding’s trailer hasn’t confirmed whether or not Sam Bridges’ BB was a fake. Soon after, an elderly Norman Reedus emerges from what appears to be another of the game’s bunkers.

    Kojima remarked in a statement, “After witnessing the epidemic, I just reworked the whole thing from scratch,” while unveiling the game live on stage.

    The clip also hints that Death Stranding 2 won’t be the series finale. Development is still ongoing. Finally, you’ll see Troy Baker outfitted in what appears to be humanoid-robotic armor including a mask of Amelie (played by Emily O’Brien).

    Kojima has been teasing the program in cryptic tweets for the past few weeks, asking questions like “How come?” and then “‘WHO’ “Were’ “HOW’ and now “WHY’.

    Many people have drawn parallels between the events shown in the 2019 game and those that occurred two years later, so the legendary director revealed on stage that he revised the game’s scenario in 2020 after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Strange New GTA: Vanilla Ice, Kim Basinger, and Danny Glover. When 505 Games announced its colourful multiplayer heist game Crime Boss: Rockay City at last night’s The Game Awards, I thought I was suffering a stroke. Time was winding down.

    It was clear from the trailer that this was not a new instalment in Rockstar Games’ open-world smash hit Grand Theft Auto, but the similarities were striking. It’s actually a PC game I haven’t heard of before, developed by a company I’ve never heard of, and featuring an entirely unrelated group of Hollywood actors and actresses who were cast just for this project.

    Michael Madsen, known for his roles in Reservoir Dogs and Donnie Brasco, plays Travis Baker, a want to be Florida kingpin who engages in “a series of turf fights, robberies, and strange side stories” in Crime Boss.

    Crime Boss is an online PvE shooter extravaganza where you team up with random people from the internet to pull off heists in the spirit of Payday 2. The trailer makes it seem like a cinematic story game, but this is not the case. Even with all the famous faces from the ’90s, the gameplay seems unremarkable. This is not a new L.A. Noire.

    What kind of success can yet another generic live-service game expect from the glamour of ageing Hollywood stars?     Then there’s Chuck Norris, who Game Awards host Geoff Keighely proudly pointed out during the Livestream and who features extensively in Crime Boss’ marketing, but whom, frankly, I do not need to ever lay eyes on again.

    The real-life karate expert who was fictionalised After 9/11, the Texas Ranger meme went viral, but if you’ve been keeping up with the news, you know he’s a bigoted homophobe and a right-wing nut job. You shouldn’t give in to his demands, and he shouldn’t be featured in your mediocre neon noir robbery simulation.

    Who knows how involved he or anyone else will be with Crime Boss? We can only speculate. Since it isn’t listed on the Ingame Studios website, we can assume that this is the studio’s first effort in the video game industry.

    505 Games is publishing it “in cooperation with Epic Games,” whatever that means, and if you pre-order it in the next two days, you can save 40 per cent. Launching on PC only through the Epic Games Store on March 28, 2023, with console releases to follow later in the year. I can’t say whether or not it will be any good, but it definitely has the craziest global premiere of 2022.

    BOTW 2: Has it been this long since we got any news about the upcoming Zelda game? Thankfully, today’s Nintendo Direct provided us with yet another look at Nintendo’s upcoming action-adventure game to tide us over until its 2019 release. Known as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it will be released on May 13, 2023.

    It’s worth noting that, even though many of us will likely continue to refer to the game as Breath of the Wild 2 for quite some time, that is not its official name. After all, it appears to be directly related to the prior free-roaming game.

    Oddly, the game’s title was revealed thus late because for a long time Nintendo said that revealing the “true” name of the upcoming BotW game would reveal too much about the plot. So, any educated guesses, folklorists, as to what the title might refer to?

    The preview doesn’t reveal much and is brief. The big news is the title and the release date. In-game hieroglyphics may hint at a myth or the game’s overarching tale, but these are the only clues we have so far.

    To my untrained eye, the emblems surrounding the godlike figure look like tears. Brief gameplay was shown, though, and it highlighted how often Link will be taking to the air. Finally, he can glide! And it looks like there will be more than enough climbing to go around.

    Death Stranding 2: Several returning cast members were confirmed in conjunction with the much-anticipated unveiling of Death Stranding 2 at The Game Awards 2022. Although Lea Seydoux’s Fragile was the primary focus of the trailer, viewers also got a glance at Norman Reedus’s Sam Bridges and Troy Baker’s Higgs in their updated costumes.

    Timefall, a strange rain that accelerates the ageing of anything it falls on, is Death Stranding’s in-universe cause of premature ageing. Any living thing or piece of machinery that comes into contact with time fall will eventually rust and die.

    In Death Stranding, Timefall has previously been experienced by one character: Fragile, who tried to stop Higgs from destroying South Knot City but had it afflict her entire body save for her face. Considering the importance placed on Fragile in the announcement trailer, it’s probable that Timefall may play a bigger role in Death Stranding 2’s plot.

    Maybe Sam aged faster than he would have otherwise since he was exposed to the phenomena for an extended period during the events of the first game.

    The capacity to cheat death comes at a price, and that price may be premature ageing for those who are repatriated. This would shed light on the unexplained elements of repatriation and the beach, while also explaining Sam’s age difference.

    Sam also has DOOMS, a disorder that causes him to feel an affinity for the hereafter. His accelerated ageing from DOOMS is one possible cause, albeit it is not directly related to his status as a repatriation.

    Similar to how excessive amounts of worry in the real world can lead a person to appear older than they are, the tension induced by the nightmares DOOMS produces could have led him to look older than he is. It doesn’t matter what sets things in motion, it will play a major role in Death Stranding 2.
