    Like last year, Mojang claims that the reveal for update 1.21 does not represent the whole feature list and that more will be announced throughout development. Until then, here’s what we know so far about the Minecraft 1.21 release.

    Minecraft 1.21 Release Date

    There is no release date for Minecraft 1.21 yet, but it is slated to arrive in the middle of 2024. That aligns with recent years. Minecraft 1.20 and 1.19 were released in June in their respective years.

    Minecraft 1.21: What Is the Update Called?

    When the most recent major upgrade, MC 1.20, was announced in October 2022, it lacked an official name. Minecraft 1.20 was given its official name some months later. This could be a result of the community unhappiness discussed in the previous section.

    As a result, Mojang may take its time naming Minecraft 1.21 and instead prioritize the features. And that is exactly how Mojang intends to handle this update, which will be heavy on fighting and tinkering.

    While we initially hypothesized that the community would prefer an inventory update, an End upgrade, or a biome-specific update, Mojang has opted to provide something even better. Though we don’t have an official name yet, Minecraft 1.21 will be dubbed something like the “COMBAT and TINKERING” update.

    This will make defeating the Breeze even more difficult, as several rooms within the Trial Chambers have trapdoors and blocks with levers. This unique aggressive monster will give you fighting encounters you’ve never had in Minecraft before.
