Palworld has been published on PC and Xbox platforms, but the survival game has sparked controversy among gamers. According to several players, Pocketpair’s open-world game has stolen various Pokemon designs for its Pals, prompting some fans to boycott the new release.
Some of the Pals of Palworld bear striking resemblances to the animals from the Pokemon franchise. While some fans indicated that they would not support Pocketpair’s game because they believe it is stealing, others stated that they did not care and were bored of Game Freak’s way with its Pocket Monster titles.
Is Palworld a Pokemon Rip-off?
Although numerous people on X agreed that they would not support Palworld because of what they saw as obvious rip-offs of existing Pokemon designs, a large number of fans indicated they were beyond caring.
People told me that there are hundreds of original designs and not everyone was a blatant copy of a Pokémon.
Guess what? I’ve seen the rest and with no surprise, 90% of them are definitely a copy of existing Pokémon, with some of them literally having parts of their models.
Damn. https://t.co/2109NvZy6c
Some cited Pocketpair’s gunplay-based gameplay and survival features, while others said they were sick of Game Freak and the Pocket Monster series in general.
The similarities between Pals and Pokémon are evident. However, given recent problems, including perceived poor game and DLC releases, many Pocket Monster fans may be inclined to search elsewhere.
Some users also noted that Game Freak was heavily inspired by Square Enix’s Dragon Quest series.
This entire discussion raises the unavoidable question: Where is the boundary between design inspiration and blatant copying of assets from a game for a new, unrelated project? Will the Pokemon Company be able to take action? Some Palworld gamers are unconcerned about the solution, having expressed their indifference in Game Freak’s monster collection series.
There is no shortage of Pokemon-inspired games, as there is a thriving monster collector genre available on a variety of platforms. Franchises such as Digimon and Monster Rancher have also persisted, so Palworld appears to be a long-term competitor. However, not all players will favor Pocketpair’s new release.
Many gamers also pointed out that Palworld is a spoof of Pokemon, with the creature designs being purposely identical. Whatever the case, Pocketpair’s game appears to already have fervent supporters, some of whom look to be disgruntled Pocket Monster fans who have grown dissatisfied with Game Freak’s recent direction for the franchise.
The release date for Genshin Impact 4.4 is coming, and the update will feature new characters Xianyun and Gaming.
Genshin Impact version 4.4 is planned to be released on Wednesday, January 31, but due to timezone gaps in Chinese developer Hoyoverse’s maintenance schedule, it will arrive the night of Tuesday, January 30. The official launch time is 7 p.m. PT, 10 p.m. ET, and 3 a.m. GMT (January 31), however, fresh versions frequently arrive up to 30 minutes before.
The stars of version 4.4 are the new five-star character Xianyun and the four-star character Gaming (pronounced Gah-ming), who will appear in the first part of the update. Xianyun will feature with a replay of the Dendro Archon Nahida, whose four stars are Gaming, Faruzan, and Noel.
Genshin Impact 4.4 Banner Leak New Characters
Xianyun is a new Anemo healer with a distinct elemental burst that allows anybody in your party to jump high enough to conduct diving attacks. She also increases plunge attack damage and heals your entire team, allowing for thrilling combos with characters like Xiao (the prime plunge attacker), Furina (who prefers team-wide healers), Diluc (who has a well-known high plunge attack value), and many others.
Her Anemo type also allows her to use the Viridescent Venerer artifact set, which buffs any Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo damage dealers. Gaming, on the other hand, is a Pyro DPS character with unique plunge attacks that are linked to his skill and burst, making him an ideal match for Xianyun.
Note that Gaming will be one of the characters available in the free four-star invite included with the Lantern Rite event in version 4.4, so if you don’t desire any of the other characters, you’ll be able to get him even if you don’t get him while rolling for Xianyun or Nahida.
The second part of the update will have replays of Xiao, who is an excellent fit for Xianyun teams, and Yae Miko, who works well with Nahida for off-field Quicken damage.
Hoyoverse said today that update 4.5 will include new Geo character Chiori, who is expected to be a five-star unit based on her role in Fontaine’s tale and the fact that no other new characters will appear in the game’s next version.
Tekken 8 offers more material than just online Ranked Matches. The game was published with a lot of content, including an Arcade Mode for each character, character side-stories, Arcade Quest, the Tekken Lounge, Tekken Ball, and, of course, the main story mode, The Dark Awakens.
The Dark Awakens is Tekken 8’s completely fleshed-out story mode, picking up where Tekken 7 left off, introducing new characters, and continuing the Mishima saga.
And, when you play Tekken 8’s Story Mode, you can choose between three difficulty levels for your opponents: Easy, Medium, and Hard. And, because these options have a significant impact on the CPU difficulty throughout the story mode, is it worthwhile to choose the hardest option right away?
The Rewards for Beating Dark Awakens on Hard
Is Tekken 8 Crossplay
Anyone who has progressed more than halfway through Story: The Dark Awakens in Tekken 8 on Hard is probably thinking if it’s worth it, given how difficult facing True Devil Kazuya appears to be.
It would be one thing if this CPU fight was a one-time difficult encounter, but you end up fighting this exact form (or a slight variation of it) of Kazuya Mishima four times in the second half of Dark Awakens, with the final fight having him rely even more on his ‘crystalline’ ground projectile and command grab.
So, if fighting this incarnation of Kazuya isn’t particularly enjoyable, is completing the game on Hard Mode worthwhile in terms of rewards? Of course, it depends on the individual, but we don’t think so. The only additional awards for completing Story: The Dark Awakens on Hard (excluding the alternate ending) are:
Reward Name
Type
Devil Health Gauge (Gold)
Player Customization (Health Gauge)
Devil Panel (Gold)
Player Customization (Player Information Panel)
Devil Plate (Gold)
Player Customization (Title Plate)
So it essentially comes down to a bit of player customization that all adhere to the same gold style. You will not receive any cosmetics, character skins, or more Fight Money for completing the whole (very long) Story Mode of Tekken 8 on the toughest difficulty.
Granted, there are plenty of other awards to be gained in Tekken 8’s other modes, so, understandably, the game wouldn’t give you too much here.
Other Rewards
However, your rewards for beating Story: The Dark Awakens in general are quite substantial. Aside from the ones described above, when you finish the Story Mode on at least Medium level, you’ll receive:
Reward Name
Type
Soul Chain
Character Cosmetic (Jin Kazama)
TK8 Style (Story Version)
Character Cosmetic (Kazuya Mishima)
TK8 Style (Story Version)
Character Cosmetic (Jin Kazama)
Hope
Player Customization (Title)
Devil Health Gauge (Bronze)
Player Customization (Health Gauge)
Devil Health Gauge (Silver)
Player Customization (Health Gauge)
Plate (Gold)
Player Customization (Title Plate)
Devil Panel (Bronze)
Player Customization (Player Information Panel)
Devil Panel (Silver)
Player Customization (Player Information Panel)
Devil Plate (Bronze)
Player Customization (Title Plate)
Devil Plate (Silver)
Player Customization (Title Plate)
10 Million G
In-Game Currency
These are the types of incentives that people were most likely searching for, like Fight Money and character skins, however, it’s unfortunate that only Jin and Kazuya are available.
Overall, playing and completing Tekken 8’s Story Mode is well worth the effort, both in terms of experience and rewards. However, whether you should play it on Hard or not is largely determined by what you hope to get from it.
If all you want is prizes, which is logical given how ludicrous the characters sometimes seem in Tekken 8, then the Dark Awakens Story Mode isn’t for you.
However, if you’re utilizing the Story Mode to re-warm up to Tekken’s combat for online mode, to challenge yourself in general, or to make the Story Mode feel more gratifying, playing on Hard is probably the best option for you.
Palworld has been a tremendous boon to the Xbox line of systems since it went into early access, as it is not currently available on the Nintendo Switch or PlayStation platforms. This means that only PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S may play with the Pals.
At the very least, Nintendo and PlayStation fans may console themselves with the knowledge that the present version of the game is buggy and has performance difficulties that detract from the gameplay experience.
Fortunately, developer Pocketpair is on the job, and fixes for Palworld’s PC and Xbox versions are being released gradually. A new patch has been published to help alleviate the game’s issues.
Palworld Jan 29 Update
Palworld Patch Notes
A fresh tweet on the official Palworld Twitter/X account announced that the v0.1.1.2 update has been available for the Xbox and Microsoft Store PC versions of the game, as well as the Game Pass releases.
[Patch Notice]
Xbox and Microsoft Store PC version v0.1.1.2 update has been released.
Fixed some issues which negatively affected game stability.
We will continue to place top priority on fixing major issues.
Thank you for your continued support of Palworld.
The patch notes are sparse and imprecise, referring to difficulties with game stability. This could apply to any number of issues that fans have observed, as Palworld can be slow to load, especially when a lot is going on onscreen.
Pocketpair should be applauded for prioritizing Palworld and releasing a consistent stream of patches that address the game’s major concerns. This is more than can be said for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, which still has unresolved problems a year after release.
Palworld is currently in early access, so fans can expect many more patches and hotfixes shortly. Palworld is a vast game, and the makers have promised that additional content will be added in the future, so it may take some time until the game is complete.
According to a new message on the game’s official Twitter account, Hogwarts Legacy will unleash all-new updates and features this summer. Furthermore, formerly exclusive material for PlayStation will be released “on other platforms later this summer”.
Currently, PlayStation players can access a special Haunted Hogsmeade Quest, Hogsmeade Shop, and Shopkeeper cosmetics. Pre-order incentives included a Felix Felicis potion recipe.
As we near the one-year anniversary of Hogwarts Legacy, we wanted to let our community know that the Hogwarts Legacy PlayStation-exclusive content will be available on other platforms later this summer, along with additional updates and features for the game. Stay tuned in the…
There are no set release dates for any of the future updates. However, today’s announcement invites followers to “stay tuned in the coming months” for further specifics. Today’s statement does not specify whether all of the PlayStation exclusives will be released on other consoles.
The Felix Felicis potion recipe was a pre-order bonus, thus it may not appear. In addition, the tweet makes no mention of any specific platforms. However, the exclusives are expected to be released across all platforms.
Hogwarts Legacy is now available for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. It’s uncertain if the PlayStation exclusives will be released all at once. They might simply roll out to each other’s platforms over time.
After all, the Nintendo Switch edition of Hogwarts Legacy was eventually postponed last year. Hogwarts Legacy continued to develop, and it achieved great success in 2023. There are reports that a sequel to the game is already in development.
This would undoubtedly be a reasonable decision. Circana statistics showed last week that Hogwarts Legacy would be the best-selling game in 2023. This was the first time in years that a game outperformed a Call of Duty or Rockstar release.
The developers did not comment on their next Hogwarts Legacy enhancements, which will be released this summer. However, it will most likely introduce entirely new quests. New “features” could potentially signify whole separate mechanics.

However, he also had a dark and twisted side, and he experimented with the toys and the children in his secret laboratory, known as The Dome. Elliot disappeared after the incident that caused the company to shut down, and his whereabouts and fate are unknown. Elliot is the narrator and the guide in the game, and he communicates with the protagonist through VHS tapes and PA announcements, where he reveals some clues and hints about the game’s story and secrets.
Molly Ludwig: Elliot’s ex-wife and the co-founder of Playtime Co., and the designer and engineer of the toys. Molly was a talented and compassionate person, who loved the toys and the children, and who tried to stop Elliot’s madness and save the company. However, she also had a tragic and bitter side, and she blamed herself and Poppy for the company’s downfall and her divorce. Molly died after the incident that caused the company to shut down, and her ghost and spirit are still haunting the factory. Molly is the mentor and the helper in the game, and she communicates with the protagonist through notes and letters, where she gives some advice and tips about the game’s gameplay and puzzles.

Huggy Wuggy was originally designed to be a friendly and cuddly toy, that could hug and play with children with its long arms and legs. However, something went wrong with Huggy Wuggy’s programming, and it became a violent and bloodthirsty creature, that can hug and crush anyone with its powerful grip and teeth. Huggy Wuggy is a fast and agile enemy, that can chase and catch the protagonist with ease. Huggy Wuggy can also use its element of Fire to enhance its abilities and to create hazards and explosions for the protagonist. Mommy Long Legs is a slow and sneaky enemy, that can hide and ambush the protagonist with ease. Mommy Long Legs can also use its element of Ice to enhance its abilities and to create obstacles and traps for the protagonist. Mommy Long Legs is the second challenge and the main threat in the game, and the protagonist will have to find and fight it in a tense battle.
Boxy Boo: A new enemy and a mini-boss in Chapter 3, and the third most iconic and popular character in the game. Boxy Boo is a small and cute toy that resembles a box and is part of the Playtime Co.’s Smiling Critters line of toys. Boxy Boo was originally designed to be a simple and fun toy, that could open and close its lid and make funny noises. However, something went wrong with Boxy Boo’s programming, and it became a mischievous and annoying creature, that can distract and prank anyone with its tricks and traps. Boxy Boo is a weak and harmless enemy, that cannot directly harm the protagonist. However, Boxy Boo can also use its element of Light to enhance its abilities and to create illusions and distractions for the protagonist. Boxy Boo is a minor challenge and a nuisance in the game, and the protagonist will have to ignore and avoid it in a humorous encounter.

The Spellweaver’s Strengths and Weaknesses
The Spellweaver is a character who can excel at both offense and defense, depending on how you build and play her. Here are some of her strengths and weaknesses:
Strengths
She can deal high damage with her area of effect attacks, which can hit multiple enemies at once and create or consume elements.
She can heal herself and her allies with her recovery cards, which can also help her regain her lost cards and extend her stamina.
She can support her allies with her utility cards, which can grant buffs, debuffs, movement, or other effects.
She can use her elements to enhance her cards and unlock powerful abilities, such as summoning, invisibility, or flying.
Weaknesses
She has low health and low initiative, which makes her vulnerable to enemy attacks and status effects.
She has a small card pool and a high card loss rate, which means she can exhaust quickly and run out of options.
She depends on elements to activate her best cards, which can be unpredictable and inconsistent, especially if other characters use or interfere with the elements.
She has limited range and mobility, which can make it hard for her to position herself and reach her targets.
The Spellweaver’s Cards and Builds
The Spellweaver has a total of 33 cards, 11 of which are available at level 1, and the rest are unlocked as she levels up. Each card has a top action and a bottom action, and some cards have an element icon, which means they can create or consume an element.
The Spellweaver can choose 8 cards to form her hand at the start of each scenario, and she can swap one card for another when she levels up. The Spellweaver’s cards can be divided into four categories: attack, recovery, utility, and summon. Here are some examples of each category:
Attack: These cards allow the Spellweaver to deal damage to her enemies, usually with an area of effect. Some of these cards also have an element icon, which means they can create or consume an element to enhance their effect. For example, Fire Orbs is a level 1 card that lets the Spellweaver attack three enemies within range 3 for 3 damage each, and create Fire. If she consumes Fire, she can add +1 damage to each attack.
Recovery: These cards allow the Spellweaver to heal herself or her allies, or to regain her lost cards. Some of these cards also have an element icon, which means they can create or consume an element to enhance their effect. For example, Reviving Ether is a level 1 card that lets the Spellweaver recover all of her lost cards, and create Light. If she consumes Light, she can also heal herself for 3 health.
Utility: These cards allow the Spellweaver to perform various actions that can benefit her or her allies, such as granting buffs, debuffs, movement, or other effects. Some of these cards also have an element icon, which means they can create or consume an element to enhance their effect. For example, Frost Armor is a level 1 card that lets the Spellweaver gain Shield 2 for the next two sources of damage, and create Ice. If she consumes Ice, she can also gain Retaliate 2 for the next two sources of damage.
Summon: These cards allow the Spellweaver to summon a creature that can act independently and help her in combat. Some of these cards also have an element icon, which means they can create or consume an element to enhance their effect. For example, Mystic Ally is a level 1 card that lets the Spellweaver summon a Mystic Ally, which is a ranged attacker that can deal 3 damage to an enemy within range 2, and create Fire. If she consumes Fire, she can also heal the Mystic Ally for 2 health.
The Spellweaver can choose from different builds, depending on her playstyle and preference. Here are some of the most common and popular builds for the Spellweaver:
Area of Effect Build: This build focuses on using Spellweaver’s area of effect attacks to deal damage to multiple enemies at once, and to create or consume elements. This build is ideal for scenarios with large groups of enemies, and for players who like to deal high damage and control the board. Some of the best cards for this build are Fire Orbs, Impaling Eruption, Cold Fire, and Inferno.
Recovery Build: This build focuses on using the Spellweaver’s recovery cards to heal herself and her allies, and to regain her lost cards. This build is ideal for scenarios with high difficulty or long duration, and for players who like to support their team and extend their stamina. Some of the best cards for this build are Reviving Ether, Aid from the Ether, Spirit of Doom, and Frozen Night.
Utility Build: This build focuses on using Spellweaver’s utility cards to perform various actions that can benefit her or her allies, such as granting buffs, debuffs, movement, or other effects. This build is ideal for scenarios with diverse objectives or challenges, and for players who like to be versatile and adaptable. Some of the best cards for this build are Frost Armor, Mana Bolt, Flashing Burst, and Chromatic Explosion.
Summon Build: This build focuses on using Spellweaver’s summon cards to summon creatures that can act independently and help her in combat. This build is ideal for scenarios with low enemy density or high enemy health, and for players who like to have extra allies and damage sources. We know there will be a Switch successor. Mostly because the other option is Nintendo simply hanging up its hat and marching off into the sea, which would be awkward. Nintendo, as usual, remains silent on the matter, but speculations are approaching category 5 that the console giant’s next console gadget will be out in time for the 2024 holiday season.
With developers seeing the machine behind closed doors and tech manufacturers revealing the sudden need to make large quantities of LCDs, this is a good time to compile all we know so far about what to expect.
Nintendo Switch 2 Cost
Nintendo Shares Hit Record High Due To Switch 2
Our best estimation so yet is $400. That is Dr. Serkan Toto’s forecast, albeit it is fair to call it a conjecture. A plausible prediction, given that the first Switch cost $300 in 2017, and inflation alone brings that to $375 today.
You may have noticed that while we discussed speculations of an 8-inch LCD screen, there was no mention of an OLED version, which was ultimately released for the Switch.
Given that, if this is correct, the device’s screen will be roughly two inches larger than the previous generation, Nintendo is likely to choose LCD to keep prices low at launch, with plans for a better screen a few years later.
Nintendo Switch 2 Release Date
Analysts, engineers, and other soothsayers use the phrase “the second half of 2024.” Which probably means November-ish. That’s the normal launch window for a new console, as it gives enthusiasts the opportunity to empty the shelves on day one, to have them restocked in time for the holidays.

While Palworld players can earn many useful recipes by leveling up, they cannot get better or unique gear without Schematics. Of course, you should not undervalue items from the main Technology tree, but Schematics, for example, will strengthen the basic helmet and sharpen a weapon.
Unfortunately, collecting the greatest Schematics is a difficult path that necessitates lengthy trips and exploration of new places. After all, obtaining the rarest Schematics entails beating the most powerful dungeon bosses. However, even if you locate numerous and wish to use them, you should follow some guidelines to get the most out of this ancient information.
Palworld Schematics Locations
palworld schematics locations
Even if you’ve previously found a few Schematics, newcomers may be stuck desiring more. Fortunately, there are a few simple methods for farming these uncommon items:
You can find certain common Schematics by opening chests spread around the game environment. The chances of discovering such a rare object are slim, and the quality will be subpar, thus this method may be suited for beginners.
The second option is to purchase schematics from merchants. This item does not appear frequently among the commodities of wandering NPCs, and the price is exorbitant, but you can occasionally uncover highly useful items.
Finally, defeating bosses in dungeons is the most reliable way to obtain uncommon and valuable Schematics. After defeating the dungeon’s final adversary, you will be able to explore its treasure chamber. And among the various awards, players might locate quite rare Schematics. And the more difficult the boss, the greater your reward will be.
How To Use Schematics In Palworld?
First and foremost, it is important to note that schematics in Palworld are not edible items. Players will not need to look for the same Schematic again. You can use them as many times as you want, but keep in mind the following rules:
If you want to utilize Schematic, it must be in your inventory. If you store it in a chest or throw it near a workbench, you will be unable to use the recipe from this Schematic.
To use a Schematic, use the manufacturing station stated in the item’s description. Holding the Schematic and interacting with the desired station allows you to create a new item or upgrade an existing one. You merely need to gather the required components.
Depending on the Schematic you’re using, you may be able to construct an item right away, but you might not notice the new recipe. In this situation, you must first unlock the desired item from the Technology tree before improving it with Schematics.
