Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Confirmed for Xbox Game Pass

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the seventh game in the Black Ops series and the 21st game in the popular Call of Duty series by Activision. It’s developed by Treyarch and Raven Software.

Following the Black Ops Cold War, BO6 takes players on an exciting espionage journey set in the early 1990s. This period, marked by the collapse of the Soviet Union and the start of the Gulf War, creates a perfect backdrop for a thrilling spy story.

The game brings back well-known characters like Frank Woods and Russel Adler in an intense single-player campaign, alongside new characters.

In Multiplayer mode, Black Ops 6 introduces new features such as the Omnimovement system, the classic Call of Duty Prestige system, 16 new maps, customizable HUD options, impressive audio and graphics, and new weapons, equipment, and perks.

Additionally, Zombies mode returns in Black Ops 6 with two new maps packed with unique weapons, power-ups, and Easter eggs for players to discover.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Will Be Available on Game Pass

Black Ops 6 will come out on October 25, 2024.

You can play it on PC through Battle.net or Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One.

    Call of Duty’s Storage Woes

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Confirmed for Xbox Game Pass

The Call of Duty games have a reputation for needing a lot of storage space, especially on consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X, which have limited SSD space. People were shocked when they saw that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 might need 310 GB to install.

But, it turns out, that huge number includes not only Black Ops 6 but also other games like Modern Warfare II and III, Warzone, and all the extra content. However, you don’t have to install everything to play Black Ops 6. The game’s creators have clarified that you’ll only need to install what’s necessary for Black Ops 6 itself.

The actual size of Black Ops 6 alone isn’t known yet, but other recent Call of Duty games like Modern Warfare II and III need around 150 GB each if you don’t install everything. Black Ops 6 is also going to use cloud-based streaming for textures, which means it’ll always need to be online, but that might help keep the game’s size from getting too huge.

  • Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater Gameplay Revealed: Naked Snake Returns in Glorious Detail!

Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater Gameplay Revealed: Naked Snake Returns in Glorious Detail!

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, but we don’t know the exact release date yet. Even though we don’t have that information, you can already preorder the game in two versions: standard and collector’s editions. The collector’s edition is selling out quickly, so if you’re interested, you should act fast.

Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater Gameplay Revealed

Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater Gameplay Revealed

The new game Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a remake of 2004’s Metal Gear Solid 3, is a big deal for Konami’s stealth action series. It’s set to release before the end of this year, marking the end of a nine-year gap since 2015’s Phantom Pain (not including Survive). While Delta isn’t a completely new game in the series, an ad for it suggests it could pave the way for Metal Gear to make a strong comeback.

Konami has shown off Delta’s updated graphics and new features, like a damage system that can permanently scar Snake’s body. They also released a video called “Metal Gear Solid Legacy Series Part 2” on YouTube, hosted by David Hayter, the original voice of Snake.

The video mostly recaps what we saw during the Xbox Showcase, but it also includes an interview with producer Noriaki Okamura, which is where things get interesting.

Okamura says that one of Delta’s goals is to help determine if the new team is capable of continuing the Metal Gear series. This mission has two main parts. First, Okamura explains that Delta exists because Konami noticed new players aren’t familiar with the series.

Alongside the Master Collection, the new Metal Gear team wants to preserve the series’ history for new generations. Delta will act as an introduction to the series for new players, especially since it’s chronologically the first game in the series.

Second, the new team has been given the responsibility of deciding “the future of Metal Gear.” This means Konami is using Delta to test whether there could be more games in the series.

This might include remakes of past games, a strategy that has been very successful for Capcom with its Resident Evil remakes. Even more exciting, if Delta does well and the team delivers what Konami wants, there could be an entirely new story in the series.

Many fans feel uncertain about the series’ future without its creator Hideo Kojima, who left Konami under difficult circumstances shortly after the release of MGSV in 2015. However, Konami has shown interest in continuing the series without Kojima.

In summary, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a remake that could bring new life to the Metal Gear series. It aims to introduce the series to new players and test the waters for future games, potentially including new stories and remakes.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake: Beginning of a New Era

Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater Gameplay Revealed (1)

Konami is planning to remake Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and it seems like this will be the start of more new projects in the Metal Gear series. The producer, Noriaki Okamura, mentioned that a “new team” is working on this remake. This team includes people who worked on the original games. Okamura said they are now responsible for the future of Metal Gear.

He talked about how this new team is handling Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection. Okamura hinted about the departure of past Metal Gear creators like Hideo Kojima, saying they have moved on to other things. This suggests that Konami plans to continue making Metal Gear games without them.

Okamura has worked on Metal Gear games before, like Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops and Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes. He was also a producer on Metal Gear Survive in 2018.

The remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, using Unreal Engine 5, is seen as a fresh start for the franchise after Kojima’s era. It’s an origin story for Naked Snake/Big Boss and the first game in the Metal Gear timeline. This makes it a good entry point for new fans.

If Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is successful, Konami might remake other games like Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker next. These games also feature Big Boss and could expand on the remake’s foundation.

The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta hasn’t been confirmed yet. Originally planned for 2024, it may now arrive in 2025. Fans are eagerly waiting for new gameplay details, which were recently shown in a trailer.

In summary, Konami is reviving Metal Gear with a remake of Snake Eater, led by a new team. This could lead to more remakes and new entries in the series, even without its original creators.

  • Assassin’s Creed Shadows Gameplay Revealed: Shinobi Stealth Meets Samurai Steel

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Gameplay Revealed: Shinobi Stealth Meets Samurai Steel

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you don’t have to switch between the two main characters, Naoe and Yasuke, if you don’t want to. You can choose to play most of the game as either one.

During the Summer Game Fest 2024, the associate director of the new RPG. He explained that players can decide who to play as and when, whether it’s the stronger Yasuke or the more stealthy Naoe.

    Assassin’s Creed Shadows Gameplay Revealed

    Assassin's Creed Shadows Gameplay Revealed

The new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows shows more about how the game will play. The trailer is about 12 minutes long and reveals a large, detailed version of Japan, along with the skills and styles of the two main characters. The game is quite violent.

This is the second gameplay trailer released in two days. Ubisoft also showed a shorter clip at the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday.

In Shadows, players can choose between two main characters: the samurai Yasuke and the shinobi assassin Naoe, similar to Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, which also had dual protagonists.

This game follows last year’s Mirage, which focused on classic assassination gameplay. Shadows will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on November 15th. Ubisoft also announced at WWDC 2024 that the game will come to Mac.

    A Long-Awaited Ninja Protagonist

When your game series is all about sneaky assassins hiding in shadows and climbing buildings, it’s no surprise fans have wanted a ninja-themed character for years. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is the answer to that request, but it offers more than just one new character.

It introduces a second main character, Yasuke the samurai, who is the first real historical figure you can play in the series. His style is very different from Naoe, the ninja. We got to see this in a special demo in Los Angeles.

The demo starts with Yasuke entering a town, drawing everyone’s attention. His fancy armor and large size make him stand out, and people stare as he walks by. The developers explain that Yasuke can’t use social stealth and can’t climb buildings like Naoe or other assassins. But he is very powerful.

A woman asks Yasuke to help get rid of a group that heavily taxes the community, and he agrees. Instead of showing a marker for where to go, the game gives clues to the target’s location, and Yasuke walks to the right district. When he finds the corrupt samurai, a guard tells him to leave.

Yasuke doesn’t hide his intentions; he draws his big spiked club and fights. His attacks are strong and brutal, killing enemies in just a few swings. Yasuke is so powerful that the player accidentally hits a civilian with a powerful attack. This made me realize I should be careful when playing this mission.

After switching to his katana and defeating the samurai boss in a duel, the developers give us a choice. The corrupt samurai’s boss, the daimyo, also needs to be killed. The audience votes on which character we want to see for this part. Happy with Yasuke’s display, we vote for Naoe.

Naoe enters the castle grounds at night, hidden by darkness and rain. Her playstyle is what we expect from the series, with parkour and stealth. She uses a grappling hook to swing from a tree and drops down to kill a guard, then crawls through the grass.

Even though it’s nighttime, the area is lit by paper lanterns. Naoe uses her kunai to put out the flames, distracting her target and making it easier to move. She puts out many lanterns along the way, making “Shadows” a fitting title for the game.

When Naoe reaches the daimyo, she sneaks up to a shallow pool he is near. She submerges herself in the water, using it as cover. After waiting a moment, she uses a reed as a snorkel and moves closer. The daimyo never sees her coming, and she kills him with one thrust of her blade.

The demo ends with another run through the castle with both characters, showing Yasuke’s direct approach and Naoe’s daytime route.

There are new weapons (Yasuke has a rifle, and Naoe has a chain weapon called a kusarigama), special abilities, and many assassinations, highlighting how different the two characters are. I’m excited to try them both when the game launches later this year.

  • Skyrim: Top 9 Heavy Armor Sets – Steel Your Nerves for the Ultimate Defense

Skyrim: Top 9 Heavy Armor Sets – Steel Your Nerves for the Ultimate Defense

Eleven years after Skyrim was released, its impact is still strong. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the next game, but it will be a few more years before that happens. In the meantime, Skyrim’s expansions continue to provide new content.

Armor is very important in Skyrim because it protects players from enemies. Whether it’s a basic set or a powerful endgame armor, each one has a unique appearance.

Heavy armor is the strongest, but it’s not good for sneaking around quietly. Despite this, heavy armor includes some of the most unique sets in the game, from both DLCs and the base game.

    Daedric Armor

    Daedric Armor

The Daedric Armor set is one of the best in the game. It looks intimidating and evil, with spikes that can poke out enemies’ eyes. It glows red, making it look even more sinister.

What makes this armor special is the Daedra Hearts used to craft it. You can get Daedra Hearts as rewards for quests, from necromancers, and in various parts of Skyrim.

If you want to make the armor yourself at the Atronach Forge, it’s possible, but the materials you need are hard to find. If you’re thinking of smithing it, you’ll need to work hard to reach level 90.

The biggest benefit of wearing Daedric Armor is that it has the highest armor rating in the game. It also makes intimidation checks 10% easier, which can be helpful.

    Dragonplate Armor

    Dragonplate Armor

What would a Dragonborn be without Dragonplate Armor at least once? Players can wear the bones of their enemies and show off their trophies. This armor is better in defense than Daedric, but it’s much harder to get.

You can find Dragonplate Armor in Skyrim, but it’s rare. Making the armor is also hard because you need special ingredients from dragons that fly around randomly. These ingredients are heavy to carry. To make the armor, you need a smithing skill of 100.

If you’re lucky, you can use a funny glitch in the game. Players can jump onto a dragon and it will attack.

    Stalhrim Armor

    Stalhrim Armor

A helmet with large horns is an interesting addition to this otherwise simple-looking armor. One of the best things about getting this armor is that you can get it after completing a quest called “A New Source of Stalhrim”. The quest is long, but it’s worth the effort.

You can start finding this armor set in Solstheim when you reach level 35 from a guy named Glover Mallory. You can also make the armor yourself if you have the right skills.

Stalhrim Armor has an extra benefit because it resists frost. This can be useful when you’re climbing up to the Throat of the World to meet Paarthurnax.

    Ebony Armor

The third strongest armor in the game, this one is just below Daedric armor. It looks darker and less scary. Players might feel nostalgic because this armor has been in every Elder Scrolls game since 2004.

When a player reaches level 80 in smithing, they can easily make this armor. They need ebony ingots, which are found in many places in Skyrim, and leather strips made from animal hides. One of the best parts is that this armor lets players poison their enemies. When combined with a mask, it becomes a really powerful combination.

    Falmer Heavy Armor

    Falmer Heavy Armor

The Falmer armor has a base rating of 96 and is lighter than Ebony armor. It’s easy to find because many Falmer enemies wear it, and they are encountered frequently. Although it looks simple compared to other armors, it’s reliable and effective for early in the game.

You can’t craft the Falmer armor, but you can upgrade it to make it twice as effective using chaurus chitin. This material is dropped by various enemies in Skyrim, so crafting this armor is a good way to improve your smithing skills.

    Orcish Armor

With many heavy armors like this one and even stronger ones, it’s a good idea to level up your heavy armor perks to get Matching Set. This will let you wear heavy armor sets without being slowed down. Orcish Armor is one of the fourth strongest heavy armors in the game, with a rating of 120.

Orcish Armor isn’t easy to find or make. The main material needed for crafting it is orichalcum, which is only found in specific mines and Sky Haven Temple. The good news is that orichalcum mines respawn every half an hour, so if you’re dedicated, you can get enough to make the armor.

    Nordic Carved Armor

With the Dragonborn DLC, this armor gives you basic protection but isn’t much better than other armors you can find more easily, especially if they have enchantments. If you use the shield with this armor, its protection goes above Ebony armor, but not by much.

When you reach level 25, you can find this armor in random loot. If you want to make it yourself, you will need a lot of materials: 21 steel ingots, 5 quicksilver ingots, and 4 ebony ingots.

    Blades Armor

    Blades Armor

The Blades Armor looks basic and simple. It isn’t much better than Ebony or Dwarven armor, depending on which piece you compare. The best thing about it is you can get it early in the game at Sky Haven Temple if you’re doing the main quest.

Although you can’t improve it at a forge, you can still upgrade it a little. However, it doesn’t benefit from smithing perks, so you can’t make it twice as strong as the original. Because of this, many players don’t use it for very long. Also, be careful when putting it on because it replaces any armor you are wearing, and those items will be lost forever.

    Chitin Heavy Armor

Visiting Solstheim is worth it just for the armor. The armor looks unusual, but it’s lighter than other heavy armors and easy to find. You can get it in certain places and also from enemies in the area who are not too hard to defeat.

You can make Chitin armor at level 30, but you need corundum ingots for it. These ingots come from ores found in some caves in Skyrim. Finding these ores can be tricky without a guide because many caves are not marked and have lots of enemies.

The bigger ore deposits only become available after completing certain quests, and some blacksmiths might sell them. However, it takes a whole month in the game for ores to respawn, so by then, you might already have found better armor.

    Ahzidal’s Armor

Ahzidahl’s armor doesn’t look very special at first because it has the same protection as steel armor. However, it has powerful enchantments that make up for its lower protection. With Ahzidahl’s armor, you can paralyze enemies, walk on water, absorb Magicka from spells, and cast spells from a long distance.

Getting this armor is easy: just finish the “Unearthed” quest in the Dragonborn DLC. The armor costs 11,000 gold, which is a lot, but it’s still useful early in the game if you go to Solstheim right away.

  • Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Rita’s Rewind Announced: Morph into a New Adventure!

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Rita’s Rewind Announced: Morph into a New Adventure!

One of the big surprises at the Summer Game Fest 2024 was the announcement of a new game called Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind. The trailer showed that it’s a fun, old-school style game where you can team up with friends to fight enemies and play some shooting levels.

The game looks like it came from the 16-bit era with bright, colorful pixel art. Digital Eclipse is making and publishing the game.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Rita’s Rewind Announced

Digital Eclipse says the game has a story that honors and changes Power Ranger’s history. It mixes familiar and new elements for fans. Players will battle, shoot, fight, and drive through different types of classic game styles and favorite moments from the series.

In the game, the long-time villain Rita returns, but this time as a robot. The team says, “Robo-Rita created a portal to send herself back in time. She wants to defeat the Power Rangers by teaming up with her younger self. Together, they try to change history to stop the Power Rangers from forming.”

“Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind” is on Steam for PC. It will also be on consoles, but the consoles haven’t been named yet. The game doesn’t have a set release date, but it should come out late this year.

A New Power Rangers Game Details

The game is called Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind. It’s being made by Digital Eclipse with Hasbro. It looks like a fun throwback to ‘90s arcade games where you fight together with friends. The game will come out on consoles and PCs in late 2024.

In the game, you’ll fight classic enemies like Putties and battle bosses like Goldar. The art style is retro, similar to the TMNT game from 2022, Shredder’s Revenge. Even though I wasn’t a Turtles fan, I loved Power Rangers as a kid. The Power Rangers movie game on Genesis was the first game I ever beat. So, I’m excited to play Rita’s Rewind.

According to a press release, Rita’s Rewind will let up to five players play together online or offline. You can control the original Power Rangers and their giant robots, the Zords.

Eugene Evans from Hasbro said, “As we celebrate over 30 years of Power Rangers, we are excited to introduce Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind to our fans.”

Rita’s Rewind will tell a new story with the iconic villain, Rita Repulsa. She uses a magical portal to go back in time and join a younger version of herself. Together, they try to defeat the Power Rangers. I think the Rangers will win, but I can’t wait to find out when the game comes out later this year.

  • Just Cause Developer Avalanche Closes Two Studios: 50 Employees Laid Off

Just Cause Developer Avalanche Closes Two Studios: 50 Employees Laid Off

The company that makes the Just Cause video games, Avalanche Studios Group, has shut down its offices in New York and Montreal. Because of this, 50 people have lost their jobs.

On its website, Avalanche said these job cuts affect about 9 percent of their workers around the world. “This is a very hard decision, but we think it’s needed to keep the company stable and strong for the future,” they wrote.

“We are now focusing on helping everyone at Avalanche get through this tough time. We are thankful for the important work of those who are leaving and we still aim to make amazing games for our players.”

Avalanche started more than 20 years ago and used to have five offices in Stockholm, Malmo, Liverpool, New York, and Montreal. They have worked on games like Just Cause, Rage, Mad Max, and the Hunter.

Just Cause Developer Avalanche Closes Two Studios

Today’s news is part of the many job cuts happening in the video game industry. Big companies often say they need to cut jobs to stay strong in a shaky economy. Now, Avalanche Studios Group is doing the same thing. Interestingly, Avalanche is closing its Montreal office only eight months after it opened.

Avalanche Montreal opened in October 2023 after Avalanche bought and included the team from Monster Closet. The Montreal team was supposed to help with making new and current games, but now they’ve lost their jobs.

Before expanding to Montreal, Avalanche made a deal with its workers in Sweden who wanted to unionize. This two-year agreement will apply to all employees in Sweden, making sure their pay and benefits are consistent.

    Layoffs Impact 50 Employees

Avalanche Studios Group is closing its Montreal and New York studios, and 50 employees will lose their jobs because of this.

In a message on their website, the company said they had to close these offices to make sure the company stays strong and stable in the future.

They also said they are focusing on helping the employees who are affected. They thanked these employees for their hard work and promised to keep making great games for their players.

The Montreal office was new, having opened last October after they bought another company called Monster Closet Games.

The New York studio opened in 2011 and had job cuts in 2015, along with the Stockholm office, after they released the games Just Cause 3 and Mad Max.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Will Be Available on Game Pass – Play On Day One!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is bringing back the classic round-based Zombies mode made by Treyarch. This time, players can choose from four-story characters, which is the first time this has happened since 2018.

The story from Black Ops Cold War, known as the Dark Aether storyline, will keep going in Black Ops 6. When the game comes out, it will have two maps and four-story characters to play as. Three of these characters will be familiar to fans of the Zombies mode.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Will Be Available on Game Pass

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Confirmed for Xbox Game Pass

Black Ops 6’s Zombies story brings back Elizabeth Grey, Grigori Weaver, and Mac Carver from Black Ops Cold War’s Requiem team. A new character, Maya Aguinaldo, joins them to make a team of four.

In Black Ops Cold War, many players felt disconnected because they had to play as random operator skins instead of unique story characters with their voices. This led to strange moments, like when a player could escape a match as a Samantha Maxis skin, even though Samantha sacrificed herself in the story’s final mission to stop the Forsaken boss.

However, Treyarch has confirmed that in Black Ops 6, players can choose to play as a story character or a random operator skin. Playing as a story character offers a more immersive experience with unique voice lines and story bits while choosing a random operator lets players enjoy fighting zombies with any cool skins they have unlocked.

For more details on Black Ops 6, check out our highlights from the big reveal, including information on the campaign, multiplayer maps, and Treyarch’s new omnidirectional movement system.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released on October 25 for PlayStation, PC, and Xbox, and will also be available on Game Pass from day one.

  • Fallout 4: Top 10 Weapons Mods – Upgrade Your Wasteland Arsenal

Fallout 4: Top 10 Weapons Mods – Upgrade Your Wasteland Arsenal

Surviving the end of the world comes with many challenges, and the main one is staying alive. That’s not easy without some serious weapons. Fallout 4’s modding community has made big changes to the game’s weapon system over the years, and the results are amazing.

Here’s a list of the best weapon mods that players can add to their Fallout 4 game. Some mods add new weapons, some improve the ones that are already there, and others change how the fighting works. But all of them will make it easier for you to survive in the post-apocalyptic Commonwealth.

    10. Modern Weapon Replacers – All-In-One Pack

Modern Weapon Replacers - All-In-One Pack

If you don’t like the basic look of the game’s original weapons and want something more modern, try the Modern Weapon Replacer All-In-One Pack.

This mod doesn’t have any weapons itself. Instead, it’s like an installer system called FOMOD. It lets players choose and install the weapons they want to replace the original ones in the game. The mod’s page lists all the weapons available. Just download the ones you want and follow the simple instructions to replace them.

    9. Wasteland Tactical – Visible Weapons On Packs

If you want your game to feel more realistic and not have invisible weapons in your pockets, try Wasteland Tactical – Visible Weapons On Packs. This mod lets you attach weapons directly to your backpack for a more rugged and realistic experience.

Make sure to read the instructions carefully to get the most out of this mod. There are some neat things you can do that affect both you and your colorful companions. It’s a great way to feel like a survivalist in Fallout 4.

    8. Weapons Overhaul Redux

The6thMessenger has made many weapon overhaul mods, but they can take up a lot of space. Weapons Overhaul Redux combines them into one mod, freeing up room for other mods.

This mod improves the stats and damage of weapons and their add-ons, making them more powerful. It’s great for players who want their guns to be more balanced and realistic. It affects everything from common weapons to Legendary ones.

    7. Doombased Weapons Merged Pack

DOOMBASED has created many awesome weapons for Fallout 4. They put all these weapons into one package called the Doombased Weapons Merged Pack, which saves space in your game.

This pack includes new shotguns, submachine guns, and pistols. It’s great for players who want to keep the original Fallout 4 weapons but also add some new ones for more variety.

    6. Weaponsmith Extended

DOOMBASED might be too small for some people. If you want a lot of powerful weapons, the Weaponsmith Extended pack is perfect for you.

This mod collects the best weapon mods from the Nexus site, including everything from a Colt Python to a Star Trek Assault Phaser. It’s not the most realistic for the Fallout 4 world, but it’s full of awesome guns that can change how you play the game.

    5. Weapon Balance Overhaul

Several mods change weapon damage, each with its good and bad points. The Weapon Balance Overhaul mod easily makes these changes.

The mod’s description shows how detailed the creator wanted it to be. It rebalances classic guns, but also unique ones like the Railway Rifle and Junk Jet. If you want to make the game easier without ruining the experience, this mod is a great choice.

    4. Skibadaa Weapon Pack Redux

The Skibadaa Weapon Pack Redux is a great mod that fits perfectly into the game’s story and world. Each weapon looks realistic and has been made with great attention to detail.

The mod adds several new weapons, including three Miniguns that you can find on dead raiders or in loot chests. You can also get heavier weapons from tougher enemies. The unique design of each weapon makes this mod stand out from other weapon mods, making it a must-have for players who enjoy getting new weapons.

    3. Mikemoor’s MCAM Weapon Pack

If you like fighting up close in Fallout 4, the game’s selection of melee weapons might not be good enough for you. To fix this, you can install Mikemoore’s MCAM (Melee, Collectable, and Adventure Mod) Weapons Pack. This mod adds 30 new weapons, including katanas, tomahawks, and even a frying pan for fun.

The mod also features two characters with voices and six new areas to explore that are connected to the weapons and add some story. It’s a great addition if you want more options for close combat in the game.

    2. Hunting Shotgun

    Hunting Shotgun

Fallout New Vegas had many special weapons unique to the Mojave Wasteland. One of these was the Hunting Shotgun, a powerful 12-gauge shotgun great for mid-to-high-level players. A mod now brings this gun back to the Commonwealth.

This mod includes the main shotgun with some customization options and two unique legendary versions you can find on the map. The gun is balanced to be a bit stronger than other shotguns in the game, but it’s still a good choice for early to mid-game fights.

    1. See Through Scopes

    See Through Scopes

Among all the weapon mods on this list, See Through Scopes is the best and the coolest. It makes the game feel more real than the standard scope system in Fallout 4. The mod works by removing the black screen that usually appears when you look through a scope.

Instead, when you aim with a scope, it zooms the camera in close to the lens while still showing the environment around you. This is great for a few reasons. First, it feels more real. Second, it makes using sniper scopes easier, more intuitive, and realistic.

Also, it’s perfect for anyone playing Fallout 4 on a 21:9 or 32:9 monitor because the user interface doesn’t get squished like it normally would in first-person scope mode. Make sure to read the instructions carefully to know how to install this mod. Once it’s set up, you can enjoy a new way of using scopes that will make you never want to go back to the original system.

  • World of Warcraft Release Date: Prepare to Return to Azeroth

World of Warcraft Release Date: Prepare to Return to Azeroth

World of Warcraft: The War Within is finally here after a long wait. This new WoW expansion is now available in beta, meaning you can try it out before the full release.

Blizzard is getting ready to compete with FF14 Dawntrail by introducing the first of three parts in its new Worldsoul Saga. The beta for WoW The War Within is live now, and you can join in, but you need to pay to ensure you get access.

    World of Warcraft Release Date

World of Warcraft: The War Within

The next big update for World of Warcraft is the first part of a three-part story called the Worldsoul Saga. It will come out on August 26 for PC. This was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase by Blizzard Entertainment, which is owned by Microsoft.

We first heard about the Worldsoul Saga and its other parts, Midnight and The Last Titan, at BlizzCon 2023. Since there won’t be a BlizzCon in 2024, Blizzard shared the release date at the Xbox event. The War Within, the first part, is already being tested by some players.

In The War Within, players will deal with the giant sword stuck in the desert of Silithus, left there by the imprisoned Titan, Sargeras. This has caused problems for the world of Azeroth for many years.

In a previous expansion, Battle for Azeroth, both factions fought over a new resource called Azerite that came out after the sword hit. While the next expansions, Shadowlands and Dragonflight, focused on other stories, The War Within goes back to this important issue.

The War Within introduces Warbands, a new system where players can progress without needing to play multiple characters separately. It also adds quick solo dungeon runs called Delves, which offer interesting rewards.

Players will explore new underground areas in Azeroth, like the ancient Nerubian kingdom and the home of the Earthen, who will join both the Horde and Alliance as a new playable race.

    World of Warcraft Trailer

The new World of Warcraft expansion, called “The War Within,” will be released on August 26, 2024. This was announced during the Xbox Showcase in 2024.

Blizzard also released a new cinematic trailer for the game, which shows some of the old bosses and introduces a new dark force coming from the center of the world.

“The War Within” is the first part of a three-part story called the Worldsoul Saga, celebrating 20 years of World of Warcraft. The next parts will be called “Midnight” and “The Last Titan.” Blizzard shared these plans at BlizzCon 2023.

In “The War Within,” players will explore four underground areas in Khaz Algar, the home of the titan-forged Earthen. Players will start their journey on the Isle of Dorn, near Pandaria, then go into The Ringing Deeps. They will see the sights of Hallowfall and then explore Azj-Kahet, the capital of the nerubians.

The expansion will also include new features like:

    • A new allied race called the Earthen.
    • A higher level cap, allows players to reach level 80.
    • Delves, which are small-world instances that players can complete alone or with up to four friends and an NPC companion.

World of Warcraft: The War Within will be available on PC starting August 26, 2024.

  • Hyper Light Drifter Developer Announces New Platformer: Prepare to Possess and Conquer!

Hyper Light Drifter Developer Announces New Platformer: Prepare to Possess and Conquer!

Heart Machine is working hard. They made the games Hyper Light Drifter in 2016 and Solar Ash in 2021. Now, they are working on a new game called Hyper Light Breaker. But that’s not all—they just announced another new game.

This game is called Possessor(s), and it looks amazing. Its visual style is similar to the games Inside and Supergiant’s Hades 2 and Pyre, with detailed anime-like characters. The trailer for Possessor(s) is very impressive and exciting.

Hyper Light Drifter Developer Announces New Platformer

The creators of Hyper Light Drifter, Heart Machine, are taking players to a dark, flooded city in their new game, Possessor(s). Just like Hyper Light Drifter and Solar Ash, Possessor(s) is a fast and stylish game that fits well with Heart Machine’s style.

Heart Machine describes Possessor(s) as a “fast-paced action side scroller” with fighting inspired by platform fighters. The story involves dangerous characters in a deep, interconnected world ready to be explored.

You will play as two characters—Luca, the host, and Rehm, her uncooperative partner. They must learn to work together and survive an “interdimensional catastrophe.”

The trailer shows Luca and Rehm in a dark city, where they stand out with bright colors. The trailer has slow, soft music that contrasts with the fast, intense action on the screen.

    Heart Machine’s Busy Schedule

Heart Machine is very busy. The studio is getting ready to release Hyper Light Breaker, a big online adventure game. They also just announced another game coming soon: Possessor(s). This game will be available for PC and consoles in 2025.

Possessor(s) is a fast-paced action sidescroller set in a sci-fi city taken over by monsters from another dimension. The trailer shows it looking amazing — dark, dramatic, and colorful.

The game takes place in a city under quarantine, invaded by strange forces. It has 3D backgrounds and hand-painted characters with a glowing VHS style. The combat includes a lot of close fighting with found objects, sliding down hallways, and using a grappling hook. As you play, you unlock and upgrade more weapons.

The main characters are Luca and her difficult partner, Rehm. They must learn to work together to survive and find out what caused the disaster in their city. The story is open-ended with multiple paths and many characters to meet. Each new story reveals more about the larger mystery.

The trailer’s scenes look like they could be screensavers, and the combat seems very smooth. The game is being made by Heart Machine and will be published by Devolver Digital.

  • Skyrim: Top 10 Follower Mods – Level Up Your Companions!

Skyrim: Top 10 Follower Mods – Level Up Your Companions!

Most games don’t have a lot of players after being out for ten years. That doesn’t mean they’re bad games, and they’ll always have some fans. But they’re not like Skyrim. Skyrim is different because it keeps getting updated with new versions and has a big modding community. This community loves to add new content to the game.

Followers are an important part of Skyrim, and many players have made mods to improve this aspect of the game. These mods add more RPG elements, like building relationships with the followers who carry your stuff.

There are many great follower mods, so where should you start? Right here, with the best follower mods for Skyrim.

    10. Eryniel

    Eryniel

Eryniel is an Epic Elf, a special kind of elf, who has learned 35 spells from the Spriggans. She is very beautiful, with flower tattoos on her nose and cheeks, and she is also very powerful.

Her special abilities make her a strong and helpful ally. She can sneak around enemies and use her unique Spriggan magic and archery skills to cause a lot of damage.

    9. Shirley

    Shirley

You won’t find a more heartwarming companion than Shirley. Shirley Curry, affectionately called “Skyrim Grandma” in the Bethesda games’ modding community, is an older lady who loves playing the game and streaming her experiences.

Some might think it’s unusual to focus so much on an older person enjoying a modern game, but watching her videos for just five minutes will show you why Ms. Curry is so special.

Many people stream Skyrim, but Shirley is one of the few who has been turned into a character in the game. Her genuine personality shines brighter than any of the original companions in Skyrim.

    8. Sofia

    Sofia

Sofia is really funny. She doesn’t have a lot of stories, but her voice actor is amazing. Sofia’s jokes can be a bit rude, but they fit her funny character. She’s one of the most popular mods in Skyrim. People love her for her quirky personality and funny conversations.

Without giving anything away, her romance story is also very entertaining. Most people who like follower mods choose Sofia because she feels like a friend, which is what people want in a game. Why would you take a follower that makes you mad or annoys you when Sofia is there to make you laugh?

    7. Interesting NPCs

    Interesting NPCs

Interesting NPCs is not just one character, but a mod that adds many new characters to Skyrim. These characters have lots of spoken dialogue, thanks to over 80 voice actors. They talk to each other and have many conversations with the player that can be funny, sad, or even annoying.

This mod is included here because it also adds several followers to the game. While each follower might not be as special as some others, together they make the game much more interesting.

    6. Garm The Husky

    Garm The Husky

If you’re tired of traveling with human companions in Skyrim, you might enjoy having a loyal dog by your side. That’s where Garm the Husky comes in. This amazing mod lets you adventure with a very helpful and good dog.

There are different versions of Garm, and you can choose the size of the pup to get the perfect companion. Many games let you pet dogs, but this mod lets you have one as your best friend while you fight enemies, crabs, and dragons.

    5. Lucien

    Lucien

Lucien is one of the best follower mods available because of his funny and interesting voice lines. For example, he quotes Batman while sneaking but then apologizes for talking when you’re trying to be quiet. Unlike many other mods, the creator of Lucien keeps it updated often.

Lucien also interacts with other popular mods, including other followers. He makes comments on quests, and new places, and gives useful tips for more complex quests, like those in the Mages Guild or the main Elder Scrolls story.

Lucien’s quest line is just as fun as his voice lines. We won’t give away any details, but there’s a horse named Clyde in the mod, and you’ll remember him for a long time.

    4. Hoth

    Hoth

Hoth is a tough bounty hunter who will make your game really exciting and different. He is a Nord, and he started as just an idea for a special armor set. His armor is unique because it’s made from the creatures he’s defeated.

Many players quickly became interested in him, so he was developed into a full character. He has his voice, backstory, tattoos, and scars. Hoth uses a custom weapon and fights with two hands. He’s very powerful, but the coolest thing about him is his job.

As a bounty hunter, Hoth gets special missions, and you can join him on these adventures. And yes, his name is a fun reference to Star Wars.

    3. Cerwiden

    Cerwiden

Cerwiden is a great follower in Skyrim, just like many other cool mods for the game. She is very smart and will talk a lot during your adventures. As a healer, she is good at helping you in battles.

She has many spells to make you stronger before a fight, and during the fight, she uses the best spells to help you win. Besides all this, she also has a special quest you can explore.

    2. Luna

    Luna

Luna is a very powerful magic user who focuses on necromancy, which means she can control the dead. She comes from an old Elven race and has a personality that changes a lot.

Sometimes she’s happy and playful, but other times she can get very angry and scary. Her story is fascinating and shows how she got her amazing powers, which might be as strong as the Dragonborn’s. Her power is linked to magical tattoos all over her body, which also affect her mind.

This mod brings Luna from the original Skyrim into the Skyrim Special Edition and Anniversary Edition. You can try to control her chaotic powers and have her help you on your adventures. With Luna, your journey will always be exciting.

    1. Inigo

    Inigo

Inigo is a special character. His jokes are clever and funny, and he has a lot of stories to tell. You can interact with him a lot, and it’s always fun. His own story isn’t very long, but he makes up for that with his made-up songs and a friend named Mr. Firefly.

He reacts to quests in the game, and people who create modifications for the game make sure their mods work with Inigo. When other content creators spend extra time to make sure their characters can talk with Inigo, you know Inigo is a big hit.

  • Top 10 Best Controllers For Fighting Games: Unleash Your Inner Champion

Top 10 Best Controllers For Fighting Games: Unleash Your Inner Champion

As game consoles have improved, fighting games have become popular again. Since the Xbox One and PS4 came out, old favorite games like Tekken 7 and Street Fighter 5 have returned—new games like Super Smash Bros.

Ultimate and Dragon Ball FighterZ have also become popular. Even long-time favorites are coming out with exciting new versions, like Guilty Gear Strive.

With more fighting games, more competitions, and more people are streaming these games online. If you watch pro players and streamers, you’ll see that they often use different controllers than the ones you might have at home. So, you might wonder: which controllers are best for fighting games? We have a great list of the best controllers for both beginners and pros!

    10. Mayflash Arcade Stick F500 V2

    Mayflash Arcade Stick F500 V2

The Mayflash F500 V2 is a good fight stick for new players. It works with PCs and game consoles. You can easily change and customize many parts of this controller, like the buttons and the acrylic panel.

It also has special features, like a switch to change how the joystick works and a Turbo button. Once you start customizing it, you might want to do more or buy more parts. Overall, it is a great controller for beginners, intermediate players, and even professionals.

    9. GameCube Controller

    GameCube Controllers

Nintendo and Smash Bros players still use the GameCube controller for good reasons. First, they are used to it because the game was made with that controller in mind. It’s also easier to learn and play Smash Bros with the right tools.

Another reason to use a GameCube controller is that it helps you control the characters better. The restrictor gate makes it easier to understand your movements and inputs. If you care about input lag, you should get a real GameCube controller.

    8. SmashBox

    SmashBox

The SmashBox is a special controller made for playing Smash Bros. It doesn’t have a joystick, which might look strange at first. But don’t worry, the buttons are set up just like a GameCube controller, similar to another controller called the HitBox.

Some experienced Smash Bros. players might say the SmashBox isn’t good for playing the game. However, it works well for many players.

The SmashBox makes the game easier to play for a lot of people. These types of controllers help those who find regular controllers hard to use. This way, more people can enjoy playing fighting games without struggling with a standard controller.

    7. Qanbra Drone

    Qanbra Drone

The Qanbra Drone works with PCs, the PS3, and the PS4. It’s popular because it’s cheap and good for beginners who want to learn how to use a fight stick. The stick feels a bit loose, but it’s still good enough to play fighting games well.

Use the Qanbra Drone if you want to try using a fight stick for the first time. If you already know how to use fight sticks, you might want to get a better one.

    6. Razer Panthera

    Razer Panthera

The Razer Panthera is a top-quality gaming controller for serious gamers. You can use it with a PC, PS3, and PS4. Many professional gamers like it because it has a lot of space, special Sanwa Denshi buttons, and is easy to customize. Razer also provides regular updates for it.

The only issue with the Panthera is that changing its design is difficult and can damage the controller if not done carefully. If you need a controller for the Xbox One, Razer makes the Atrox, which is similar to the Panthera but costs more.

    5. Qanba Dragon

    Qanba Dragon

The Qanba Dragon fight stick costs more than most other fight sticks, but many people like how it looks. You can use it with Sony consoles and PCs. Another good thing is that it’s very strong and weighs ten pounds. Because it’s so heavy and durable, it won’t break even after many hours of use.

Just like other good fight sticks, you can customize it however you like. You probably don’t need a fight stick like this, but it’s one you’ll remember and think about from time to time.

    4. Mixbox

    Mixbox

Mixbox has a special design that makes it different from other game controllers. It takes the style of arcade game boards and makes them better. Unlike the Hit Box, Mixbox uses Cherry MX key switches, which many desktop gamers already know.

These switches are like the keys on a mechanical keyboard and are used to move characters. The rest of the controller is like a normal game controller.

Mixbox is great for gamers who started playing fighting games on a keyboard, like in Mortal Kombat. The button layout is also better because it uses the same setup that became popular in arcades.

    3. Hit Box

    Hit Box

The HitBox controller is one of the best for fighting games and works well with PC, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4. It looks like an arcade box and doesn’t have a joystick. Instead, it uses buttons for up, down, left, and right.

You can also use it for other games, like side-scrollers and old retro games. Even though the HitBox is expensive, it’s easy to use and you can customize it a lot, making it worth the price.

    2. Victrix Pro FS 12 (Stickless)

    Victrix Pro FS 12 (Stickless)

If you want the best stickless controller that money can buy, the Victrix Pro FS 12 is the top choice. It has high-quality parts and you don’t have to worry about problems with it. However, it is also the most expensive controller available.

The high price will make anyone think twice, so you need to want or need this controller. Remember, it is made for tournament-level players, so it’s only practical for those who compete at that level. It’s a great tool, but not necessary for everyone.

    1. Victrix Pro FS 12

    Victrix Pro FS 12

If you want a fight stick like the Victrix Pro, you can also choose the Victrix Pro FS. Many professionals use the Victrix Pro FS because it’s good for serious players who want fast response, accurate controls, and durability.

It has buttons that you can program, a quick 5ms input time, and works with PC, Xbox, and PS4. This makes the Victrix good for different kinds of fighting games. It also has a lid you can remove to change parts or store the joystick when you’re not using it.

  • Street Fighter 6 Roster Revealed for Second Year: Meet the New Fighters Joining the Battle

Street Fighter 6 Roster Revealed for Second Year: Meet the New Fighters Joining the Battle

During the Summer Game Fest 2024, Capcom announced new characters for the second year of Street Fighter 6. The four characters are M. Bison, Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui, and Elena.

    M. Bison, a longtime Street Fighter villain, will join in the summer. Terry, a main character from Fatal Fury, will be available in fall 2024. Mai, also from Fatal Fury, will come in the spring of 2025. Elena, who first appeared in Street Fighter III: New Generation, will be available in winter 2025.

Street Fighter 6 Roster Revealed for Second Year

    M. Bison will arrive sooner than many expected, with his release confirmed for June 26, 2024, just before the big CEO fighting game tournament.

Evo is coming up soon, and with Bison’s summer release date, players will have him for less than a month before the huge fighting game event.

In the game, M. Bison is seen using his Psycho Drive, likely after being revived in a new body. He destroys his surroundings using his Psycho Crusher attack or possibly the Psycho Axe from Street Fighter 5.

We also talk about how Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui might play. This is the first time SNK characters are officially added to the game, as shown in the Season 2 Street Fighter 6 DLC trailer.

Many in the Fighting Game Community have said that characters like C. Viper feel more like SNK characters than typical Capcom ones. Now, with official SNK characters in the mix, it will be interesting to see how they play in this new title.

We also discuss Elena, a character disliked by many due to her ability to heal and use hit-and-run tactics with her long limbs. Hopefully, her healing won’t be linked to the Drive Gauge mechanic. The developers have time to refine her before her release in spring 2025.

Lastly, we look at the new art style in the trailer and wonder if it hints at changes in Street Fighter 6’s graphics or user interface, which have been more realistic this time.

Full Release Schedule for Season 2 Characters

Street Fighter 6 Roster Revealed for Second Year (1)

Street Fighter 6 has finished its first set of DLC fighters after Akuma. Now, it’s starting its second set, and some important characters are joining. Capcom announced the next four fighters during their Summer Game Fest presentation. M. Bison, a long-time villain, is coming back after not being in the game at launch.

The announcement came with a cool animated trailer showing the next four characters for season 2. Two of these are crossover characters: Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury.

The other two are long-time Street Fighter characters, M. Bison and Elena. We didn’t see them in action in the game, but each had a few seconds in the trailer.

All four characters will be released over the next year:

    • M. Bison – Summer 2024
    • Terry – Autumn 2024
    • Elena – Spring 2025
    • Mai – Winter 2025

In the first year, Street Fighter 6 added four DLC characters, including Rashid, Ed, and Akuma. A.K.I. was the first original DLC character, and the launch had some strong new characters like Kimberly, Manon, and Marisa.

These new characters could become regulars in the series. So, it’s okay if the game brings back some old characters in the second season. I’m usually not a fan of crossover characters, so I’ll stay quiet about Terry and Mai joining. But I’m sure some players are excited to see them in Street Fighter 6.

    Before Your Eyes

Before Your Eyes is an adventure game from 2021 made by GoodbyeWorld Games and published by Skybound Games. It first came out for Microsoft Windows on April 8, 2021, then for macOS in September 2021.

Versions for Android and iOS were released in July 2022. The game is special because it uses eye-tracking technology to tell its story, which was also used in the team’s earlier project called Close Your. This earlier project was funded through Kickstarter.

The game is about Benjamin Brynn, who has recently died and is on his way to the afterlife. Players interact with his memories using an eye-tracking webcam.

The game watches the player’s eye movements and blinking to move the story forward. Critics liked the story, but some had issues with how well the eye-tracking worked.

Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord

Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord is a virtual reality video game from 2023. It’s based on the Ghostbusters series and was made by nDreams. Sony Pictures Virtual Reality published the game for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest Pro, and PlayStation VR2.

The game takes place in San Francisco and includes famous spots like the Golden Gate Bridge. It follows a new team of Ghostbusters who try to stop the Ghost Lord and his helpers.

A story trailer from May 2023 showed that the game’s story connects to the 1984 Ghostbusters movie and involves Gustav Hookfaber, who trained with the Ghostbusters at Columbia University.

    Synth Riders

Synth Riders is a virtual reality rhythm game made by Kluge Interactive. In the game, players touch spheres (called ‘notes’), trace lines (called ‘rails’), and avoid obstacles coming towards them.

The game first came out in early access in July 2018 and was officially released on May 21, 2019, for Steam VR and Meta Quest.

It works with many VR headsets, including Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest Pro, PlayStation VR, PlayStation VR2, HTC Vive, Pico 4, Valve Index, and Apple Vision Pro.

You need a VR headset and at least one motion controller to play, except for Apple Vision Pro, which uses hand tracking. The game has different music tracks you can play at various difficulty levels.

You can also choose different virtual environments called ‘Stages’ to go with any song. There are also ‘Experiences,’ which are visual animations that go with specific songs.

When you pick a song, notes, and rails will appear and move toward you. You need to match the right-colored hand to the object.

There are special sections with bonus points: gold objects need both hands, and green objects must be hit with the same hand throughout the section. You also have to dodge or duck to avoid obstacles that pop up during the game.
